If anybody would like to know, my wife, Heather is felling a little bit better, she seems better to me anyway. It's about time she felt better she would agree.
We've been watching some movies, Where the wild things are, The Blob, some others before that. We both like Where the Wild Things Are, it was fun and funny, very imaginative and made me feel like a kid a again really. The cinematography was great it looked just like some of the pictures in the book so I think Spike Jonze did a great jorb on this movie. I saw one other movie by him, which was being john Malkovich, which was terrible. But this was a good movie that I reccomend it for all ages.
We watched the Blob last night from 1958 I'm becoming more of a horror fan because of all these horror movie reviews that I'm watching. The Blob was good and super cheesey so that's good. Heather thought it was boring. I can see why she thought that it was a bit slow.
I watched a video a while back about the blob, which made me want to watch it. In the town where it was filmed has a big festivul every year called Blobfest or something like that where you can watch the movie and the end of the movie everybody is supposed to run out screaming just like in the movie, which is the best part of the movie. Another fun movie to watch.
There is something that is bothering me and that some of our friends keep moving away, we will miss them and we miss the ones that have already moved away. We miss the Village Church. I don't know when I will stop missing that place it helped me grow so much in my walk with God. I miss playing there, I miss playing music with people altogether it's just a lot better playing with other people. I know that our friends moving away is good for them in a way because they all really want to do it it seems and of course they have a bigger purpose in mind too, which is great. It's actually a greater purpose in mind for them but it's still hard on their friends. To leave can either be a noble thing or a great mistake it's what they're following in order to move that makes the difference. You have to have a good reason to move really. I like the olden days when most people moved because of job promotions or going to college those reasons just make more sense to me. Not that my friend's reasons don't make sense to them. I'm not glad that they're moving but they are glad and that's what matters. I'm sure it's way harder for them to move too. In a way it's like moving has to do with growing up in life, with each move you learn more about yourself and more about the world we live in and that's always good. so we all move on to better things in life and sometimes that requires physical movement in ourselves and it's not a bad thing at all. I wish them well and I know that we will probably see them again.

Today I will post a short story I wrote it starts out with a riddle
When worlds Collide
By Jared Lowry
Brown upon brown
Dark purple upon brown
One crunchy, other gooey
Lifted by hands and put together
Like birds to a feather
When worlds collide
They make me fell better and happy inside
My belly grows wide
Hahahaha I laugh as I reach for something blanco
To wash it down pronto
It’s a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Two Brothers
By Jared Lowry
Dustin stood over her bed from behind the bed rest of her bed looking over her as she slept. He lit a match, and watched it glow with fire. He moved quickly from left to right, his eyes followed it. He smiled wide his teeth shown across his face like the sun is shining. Then he threw the match upon her landing on her waste. She began to wake up in shock. The flame burned threw her sheets, she began to cry. He ran out the door of the apartment.
Remembering what she had learned from elementary school, she rolled out of bed and began to crawl into the living room covering her mouth with her shirt. She got to the door and began to yell for help as she cried each scream got louder and louder she pounded her fists on the door minutes later her neighbor from across told her to back up as he was going to break down the door with his foot. He kicked it through and saw her, picked her up and carried her out. They walked away and called 911 for fire emergency.
Fire fighters would come at mid morning around 4:50 am. Mathias arrived to find Jillian with a blanket wrapped around her that one of the fire fighters had given to her. She was sitting there on the sidewalk and Mathias cared to join her he told her it’s going to be ok. Her stomach was still burnt as the ambulance came for her she was loaded in on a stretcher. “Can I come with her she is my girlfriend?” He asked. They told him yes and they rode to the hospital.
They passed through the hallway and Jillian got a room. The doctor gave her morphine and she quickly went back to sleep. Mathias barely slept in his folded out recliner that was provided in the room.
The next morning Mathias woke up about ten minutes before Jillian did. “Good Morning,” he said while sitting in the recliner by her bed.
“I know who did this to me. It was Dustin.”
Math fueled with rage. “I’ll kill him for this.” He yelled.
“Don’t be so loud. That would find with me too.”
Dustin is Mathias’s twin brother. He was created by his father in a DNA lab. As a result of an accident during the process in the lab his skin glows blue, because of radiation from toxic waste. His glow came in handy later on because he would always know if he was close by. His Dad is not a careful scientist. He built a lab in his basement of their one story house, he called it the Cellar. His first intent was for Mathias to never be alone after his wife left him because she thought he was crazy.
During childhood Mathias and Dustin would fight a lot. Their Dad, Grimwire, remembered one day in particular when he had a revelation. While he was sitting on a park bench watching his two boys fight on the playground in front of him he didn’t try to stop it. This was the first time that he didn’t want to stop it. It still worried him in his mind and he began to tremble with fear he began to shake but still was able to keep his seat. The he stood up and began to cheer for Mathias, his arm raised up with a clenched fist as he shook it in the air. “Atta Boy there Math!” he yelled. Who also eventually won the fight by pinning Dustin down on the ground and punching him in the face. Mathias Stopped hitting him, panted like a dog, and then got up, and would even lend a hand to Dustin, which woke him up from his slumber of being knocked out. “What were we doing, Math?” He asked.
“Nothing, nothing important.”
This in turn changed their father’s mind he forgot about his first reason for creating Dustin and came to the delusion that he really created him so they would fight. Therefore he would be right and would stop being sorry for creating him in the first place.
The boys now sixteen were out of school for the summer.
During breakfast the next day Mathias and Dustin were eating Frosted Mini Wheat’s cereal together. Dustin would begin to taunt him with his words about Jillian.
“So, you’re going to see your little girlfriend today?”
“Of course I am. She needs someone to talk to.”
“What about her parents? Haven’t they come to see her?”
“I guess they would have, she’s moving back in with them when she is out of the hospital.”
“You want to know something else?”
“What? I’m trying to eat here.”
He began to whisper noticing their Dad was in the room. He moved his face in closer toward Mathias, “I did that to her.”
Mathias began to twitch as Dustin would get up and wash his bowl out and leave. Mathias held in his anger He tried to think about what to do but nothing came to mind.
“Why don’t you used your clubs, go out to the driving range, you know I got you those clubs for a reason.”
“No I’m fine. I’m gonna go see Jillian after I’m done eating.”
“Ah, have fun tell her I said hello.”
With that Grimwire left the kitchen. Mathias fixed himself another bowl of cereal for his was now soggy.
He appeared at the hospital, Jillian had a private room and the doctors were in the process of her skin graphing transplant on her stomach. Mathias showed up at the door with yellow daffodils and orange Tiger Lilies wrapped in white wrapping paper with a get well soon card attached. A photo of the flowers that he bought was on the card that came with the flowers. She was awake; He bent down to hug and kisses her on the cheek.
‘Oh thank you, Mathias for the flowers, as you see I don’t have very many,” She joked as she pointed out the ones her Parents had given her earlier that day. They were lying on their left side flowers pointing to the left on the window sill. Mathias’s flowers were dwarfed in comparison to his. All of them yellow that shone like the sun outside her window with the blinds raised as it made the flowers ever more present. “Those are from my parents they just have left.”
“How have you been doing?”
“Oh better my surgery will be done later today, they’re doing it in haves.”
“That sucks; I bet the anticipation is killing you.”
“It’s definitely testing my patience.”
“I’ve got to go; I promised my dad I would go golfing with him today.”
“I don’t know why you like that stuff.”
“I don’t, my dad does and you know how he is, by the way he says hello.”
“Tell him I said hello too.”
He bent down hugged her again as he told her good bye.
After he had left He didn’t notice Dustin hiding behind the door waiting for him to leave huddled hunched over by the door knob. Mathias walked passed him. Even with the blue light he didn’t notice he was around. He softly walked in with his hunched over back, when Jillian saw him she tried to scream, but he walked over to her and covered her mouth with his hand. She began to shake in her hospital bed. Her door opened again, Dustin backed off of her and it was her doctor. “Who’s this, Jillian?” Dustin backed up to where her doctor was standing and said. “I’m her brother’s girlfriend, I’ll be going now.” Dustin left and Jillian was saved yet again.
Meanwhile when the brothers got back from the Hospital, Mathias went down to the basement Dustin just happened to be there too. Mathias was just bothered by seeing him. Though, he ignored his feeling of being bothered by him. “Hello, Dustin.”
“Hello, Mathias. You will be glad to know that I saw Jillian again. But I didn’t get to attack her this time. Hah hah hah.” He continued to laugh.
This time he was more than bothered by this, he was royally pissed off. “You didn’t!”
“But I did.” He began to laugh again and again he wouldn’t stop.
Mathias was filled with rage; he looked to the left and saw his golf clubs in his orange golf bag. He rushed over there and pulled out his driver and swung it in an upward arch coming into contact with Dustin’s face. With him still laughing he got clocked in the head by the golf club, Mathias hit him with enough force and momentum to kill him. When he saw this he was in shock and he began to sweat he couldn’t believe what had done so he bent down picked up his left arm and dropped it back on the floor, He knew he was dead and it done, Dustin had stopped laughing he no longer could laugh, he no longer could be happy with attacking people because he couldn’t do it anymore.
Grimwire came into the basement and saw this. Mathias turned around and saw him he walked towards him and confessed, I did this, Dad it was all me. He was fine with it. He began to tell him the reasons why he created Dustin.
“I created Dustin here in this lab so that you would have a friend, but he turned into an enemy, he wasn’t always bad he just grew worse in his age, you remember that one day when I saw you two fighting on the playground and I didn’t try to stop it.”
“Yes.”
“That was the first time that I realized that there was a another reason for creating him, it was to teach you how to fight, so that you would fight him, fighting was his purpose, but as you can see he wasn’t very good at it.”
Mathias began to shake Grimwire as hard he could “You’re crazy, Dad, you’re crazy!” He stopped shaking him and shook off his feeling of anger, he realized that it was not his fault for Dustin’s anger it was not his intent of making him.
“I think I better leave.”
“Where will you be going?”
“That’s not for me to decide, I will go where ever I am needed. Where ever I am wanted by this world where I don’t feel crazy for killing my brother although I know it will haunt me and will probably never go away I can’t forgive myself for what I have done, but I must go from here.”
Grimwire didn’t try to stop him nor did he want to he thought this might be destiny calling him to greater things beyond this place.
“You go, find your destiny son, for this world is your oyster. Enjoy it while you can, son.” He patted him on his right shoulder and wishes him well with good luck and God’s blessing. Mathias walked on up the stairs and left this cell of a basement to his Dad who would take good care of it for he knew how to use it well now since he had learned from his mistakes.

Why Do We Want To Make This About Something Else?
Why Do We Want To Make This About Something Else?
Why do we want to make this life about something else? More about ourselves, our bodies, ourselves, really what makes us so self –involved? I wonder if people were always this way. I wonder if they were like this during biblical times during the times when Christ was physically here in a human body. Not that he is right now or anything like that. The compelling power of Jesus sure can make you humble. And yet we still want this to be about ourselves.
When Jesus walks on water he asked Peter to walk with him on the water and he did until he noticed the wind, he began to sink. He made that moment about the storm; they all did until Jesus got back into the boat. They were even afraid of Jesus when it happened. I know I would probably be shocked too, but the disciples shouldn’t have been afraid. It’s alright Jesus is here it’s all going to be alright. Sometimes this is too hard to believe. It doesn’t have to be, we make it that way, cause again we make it about it ourselves. The disciples had a fear in themselves, but they also had faith in Jesus, but they chose fear over faith, which is something else.
Faith is what will happen and fear is what could happen. God is in control, he makes all things possible and yet we want control our lives. Is it really in our nature to be full of ourselves? Jesus was a humble man, this seems to be hard to believe sometimes cause I know if I did all the things that Jesus did I would want to credit myself for doing it, but it was really God doing those things. Jesus is God so he does get to credit himself, and yet he is a humble man.
We can make God into something else entirely and this completely wrong of us to do and yet we do it. We want this to make sense. Christianity has always made sense to me Christ is someone I can always rely on but I can’t always rely myself and that’s ok. Christ is not just here for us to fall back on though he is here before that moment when we cry for him.
He is what we put our hope, faith, and love in, and he gives all those things in return to love other people for God is Love. Again we can make love mean something else. Something carnal, love can be apart of sex in marriage, but outside of it it’s sin not only is it sin against ourselves but sin against the person you’re with.
We should never be boasting about what we’ve done. We can tell people that we did it, but we don’t have to make it about ourselves. Try to focus on the event not yourself. Still this is hard to do cause we want the give the gratitude to ourselves for being great instead of what happened that was great. For greatness comes from God. Michael Jordan use to have a series of ads for his company Air Jordan, one of them said, “Greatness, you don’t want greatness,” In a way it is something we don’t deserve but it is thrust upon us in situations, situations we can’t explain for it was Jesus that said who among the table is greater the king sitting being served or the servers, Jesus calls the servers greater. Jesus calls us to serve others just like he did, and yet we want to serve ourselves and serve ourselves first.
This gives a reason to pray before our meals and give that food to God to make it holy. If we think of him before we think of ourselves he is making what we do holy. For he gave us what we are doing in the first place, we so often forget this all the time really we have given our lives to God through salvation but we don’t want to give it completely to him. If we could this would be so easy. I don’t think God intended life to be easy.
Why don’t we take a road less traveled, when to you look to God first your perspective changes it becomes about doing something for his glory and not for ourselves.

Convenient light blubs
So I met Donald Miller Last night, there are probably a lot of great blogs that start that way. The main thing he talked about was two things boys growing up without fathers and how important conflict is in our life. He said that people really learn from pain. And conflict is important for our lives. The interesting thing to to me is that this is something that we don't want in our life, but every time we conquer it we feel better so if it was never there we wouldn't have the joy. As I write about this he also said that we don't learn anything from joy or happyness. I don't really agree with this because we learn this which is I'm glad that's over with. But I get what he's saying because we don't learn a lot from having joy. Joy is great and it is everlasting but we really learn from the conflict that made the joy and sometimes this conflict is a great thing that is happening to us. I had to overcome some conflicts when I got married, when we did get married it was amazing I've never had a feeling like that before it was like a dream really. Heather felt the same way too. And now that I'm married it's hard and it's easy and that's how life is it's hard and sometimes it's easy but it's fun. I like my life, there are times when we won't like life we won't like what God is doing in our lives we might become mad at God for it. But being mad at God doesn't do anything good for us it just makes us feel worse.
So I like what Donald Miller said, we do deserve conflict in our lives it makes it interesting. We also deserve happyness and Joy for it comes from God. Conflict comes from God, God is always testing us to make us stronger to make us more like him more like Christ. Less of me and More of him in our lives. We decrease so that he will increase.
So conflict is a good things it's not something we should welcome in our lives but we should always love a challenge. God is our Challenger.
I got my books signed by Donald Miller I had had them for years one for two and one for three. Blue Like Jazz is the only book I have ever read twice and it's great, but it' not really about anything specific it's about Don's life and his testimony, He's got it being made into a movie for sometime now I guess that really is a long project. I have something in common with him we both sit around in our boxers and write stories it's fun I don't watch Oprah and eat ice cream, but I won't condemn for that, I mean whatcha gonna do? And yes I am wearing pants now. But it was a great night I use the word but way too much in this, Susan Issacs was great and hilarious I had never heard of her before I bought the ticket but she was great. I met her too. Got to see Adam and Bethany there they were great they're getting married on saturday Heather and I are going and a lot of other people are going too it should be a great wedding. So great night good jokes, a lot of learning going on, good books to read.
