massive

This might not be as massively long as I think it would be or should be, but let's go going!, Alright...!

Ok so something that I have noticed something that I have notice here recently and it's only happened on Blogger.com. When you make a comment you have to enter a safe word before you comment so that the website knows that a human is commenting and not another machine. Well some of these safe words are actual words, most of the time they are nonsense words that a machine doesn't or shouldn't recognize by their system. The word was chant, that's an actual word, I just find this funny sometimes, logic tells me that since machines aren't supposed to recognize nonsense words that they should recognize real words and thus a machine could comment on when presented a real word. But I couldn't because I got another word that was a nonsense word that came up. I got a second safe word.

Is funny to anybody else? No it's really not.

What I really wanted to post about was that I was feeling convicted this morning. I'm not much of an outward faith kind of guy sometimes, there are times when I can be one, but it's really not now, it's hasn't been for a while it seems. First of all Conviction is a good thing. It's not always about sin, it can be about what you haven't been doing and what I haven't been doing is sharing my faith with people. Pastor Mark Deymaz our head pastor at Mosiac Church has offered a challenge to us the body of Mosiac Church to share our faith with three people in the main three months of summer. Seems easy enough, right? So I guess my question is why is it so hard to share my faith with others. At times it's not hard, it wasn't hard when I was in Chicago, It wasn't really hard in Thailand, although it was quite challenging there. I guess it's really all about environments and goals. When you are at work, your main goal is work, when you are at home your main goal can be a lot of things: protecting your home turf, working in your house, spending time with others who are there, which is the most enjoyable goal there for me . When you're in a different country that is not a Christian country, like the U.S., which I still think is a Christian Nation. It's supposed to be harder to share your faith, but that is you're goal there being a Christian, whether you're on a "Mission Trip" or not.

John Piper once said that you're life is a mission field. And I agree with him whole-heartedly on that. I think that sharing your faith can be done without using words from the mouth. You can write songs about Jesus, You can perform those songs, You can write stories that have a Spiritual Christian theme to them, You help out by serving them, by making their lives better, by making them feel better, by helping them. You can do all these things with God in mind, with that aspect in your heart. Then you would truly be God-centered. It is not an easy thing to do. Why? I can't answer that. I probably never will be able to to do that. But and this is not to sound cocky at all, but I have done those things and many, many other Christians have to it's just that we don't do them all the time. I'm sure that's that possible to do too, because you can do all things through Jesus Christ who give us strength, phillipians 4:13 (paraphrased). So you should be able to do these things all the time.

If you can pray without ceasing then you can do that. Maybe that's a hard comparison, but it's true, and that should be one of your goals. Pray without ceasing. I always find it easier take baby steps though. What about Bob, had a great philosphy, it is also a great comedy. I like Bill Murray a lot. He makes it funny without actually trying to be funny, kind of like Ben Stiller. But um back to my main point you can do all these things with God, with Jesus being our lord and serving him, and by serving him we will serve others. It's inevenible it's going to happen, it's an energy that we all have just by being human. WE all have certain qualities that all humans should have, just by being people. And we all have these abilities. All people can worship something, but few of them choose to follow Jesus, who is and was God's Son. But by being people we are all distracted by many things in the outside world that might catch us off guard and makes us just be animals. Which is what we are not. We can't worship all the time or else we would be angels. So it's a deep balance that we all have to face, but not on our own, we have Jesus to help us out, to pick us up when we fall. It's like in Batman Begins when little Bruce Wayne falls down in the garden and he gets attacked by bats, that's not something I would want to happen to me though. But, it's happens to us we fall down, and we get picked up by God, This is grace to me, it's the will that we all have to face another day of redemption or resistence or other r-words, Other challenges, other respects, other experiences that we might have. So when we have these experiences it is important, it is vital to have God on your side or the consequences might mean death.

I think I'm done with my schpeil for now. I'm gonna take a shower soon because I need one. I'm am currently watching Mike and Mike and drying some clothes I am getting a haircut soon today. Other things haven't been specificly planned but they will happen this weekend. This post will end soon I will save you so much more time to do other things that are God-center that you should be doing...............now.

Maybe that didn't work. Maybe it did. this is over now.

  1. Hey Jared, this is Brooke, thanks for the post. Very encouraging and convicting. I think it is very important to help keep our brother and sisters accountable, so thank you for that. Will you please update about the at least 3 people you share Christ with throughout the summer? Nothing in depth because it maybe confidential, but just some neat stories if you would care to share.
